Registration is now open for Gangplank’s first 3D Printing Class. The class is a hands on guide to 3D printing, involving the actual printing and construction of a new 3D printer! You do not need to be a programmer or a hardware person; all we ask is that you are curious and do not mind making mistakes.
The class will run Saturday, July 20th for 6 weeks through August 24, every Saturday from 9-10:30am. Registration is required through Eventbrite with admission to cover the cost of materials and the purchase of a non-assembled 3D printer we will be building during class.
Christopher Porter, Dan Stormont, Connor Barickman, and Shaun Hull will be your teachers. Connor has been running Xerocraft’s 3D printers for a year and is their resident expert. Shaun has used Arduino, Linux, and is a master builder. Christopher and Dan have been working with the Thing-O-Matic at Gangplank that we will be showcasing during the class, and both respectively have tinkered with gadgets all their lives.
The class will be very flexible, hands on, with strong emphasis on problem solving. We look forward to seeing what your minds come up with and seeing that you can make a physical reality! Questions can be directed to Christopher at 520-399-8776 or firstname.lastname@example.org
